Each year Badminton Victoria recognises outstanding contributions with Life Membership, Distinguished Service Awards and Service Awards.
We encourage you to nominate the deserving individuals. Let's celebrate the individuals who make badminton in Victoria great!
Nominations to be submitted no later that Sunday, 20th April.
Life Membership
The Board of Badminton Victoria may nominate any individual for Life Membership of Badminton Victoria. On nomination any individual may be elected as a Life Member at the AGM by vote of no less than 2/3 of those present, subject to Clause 6.4 of the Constitution.
Their service is recognised by a Life Membership medallion, which is presented at the Annual General Meeting. The Life Member’s name shall be entered into the records listing the service of the recipient up till the time of receiving the award; and their name shall be inscribed on the Honour Board.
Basic requirements:
Ten years of continuous service on the Board of Badminton Victoria, or Fifteen years and continuous service to the sport in the field of administration, support and development or playing.
Nominated individuals shall be registered with an affiliated member of Badminton Victoria.
Distinguished Service Award and Service Award
The Board of Badminton Victoria may present Distinguished Service Awards and Service Awards each year to those who have given valued service over a period of at least TWENTY-FIVE YEARS and TEN YEARS respectively.
Any Member may forward nominations for Distinguished Service Awards and Service Awards. The awards are not limited to any specific number and more than one person may be nominated for each award.
Their service is recognised by a badge, which is presented at the Annual General Meeting.
Basic requirements:
Twenty-five or Ten years of continuous service to the sport in the field of volunteering, administration and support and development.
Nominated individuals shall be registered with an affiliated member of Badminton Victoria.
