Badminton Victoria Performance Program nomination form

The Badminton Victoria Performance Committee has introduced the following changes to the current Performance Squad structure for the year 2025:

Training Schedule Update:

• Weekly Training: All training sessions will take place on Tuesday nights.
• Alternating Age Groups:
  • Week 1: 13-15 Age Group
  • Week 2: 17-19 Age Group
  • This pattern will alternate weekly.

Purpose:
The alternating schedule is designed to:

1. Provide focused insight and tailored support from BV coaches.
2. Maintain a high training standard for each age group.
3. Provide more opportunies for aspiring atheletes to join the Performance Porgram 

Additional Notes:

• Squad sizes may increase depending on the number of selection submissions and coaching capacity.

Example Schedule:

• Week 1 (Tuesday): 13-15 Age Group
• Week 2 (Tuesday): 17-19 Age Group
• Week 3 (Tuesday): 13-15 Age Group
• Week 4 (Tuesday): 17-19 Age Group

If selected for the Performance Program, players agree to the following:

1. Training Attendance:
• Attend a minimum of 80% of Junior Training sessions. These sessions are to be held at MSAC on Tuesday nights from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM every second week during school terms.
2. Mandatory Tournaments:
• Enter and play in all Junior Circuit events relevant to the player’s age group. These tournaments are mandatory unless an exemption is approved.

3. State Titles:
• Enter and play in the relevant age group State Titles, with exemptions granted only for bereavement or illness.
4. National Championships:
• Enter and play in the relevant National Championships, regardless of selection or non-selection into State Teams.
5. Official Program Apparel:
• Players selected for the program will gain access to the BV S-Trend shop, where they can purchase official BV Performance Program apparel.
6. Eligibility and Selection Criteria:

Submission Information

Important Note for U13 Nominations:
If you are nominating for the Under 13 category, you will be required to attend the trial, which will be held on Sunday, February 2nd, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at MSAC.

Please ensure all required fields are completed and submit the form by the deadline to ensure your nomination is considered.
