We are thrilled to announce that Surja Badminton Club, led by Frida, has been selected as one of the 50 grassroots organizations to receive the 2024 AIA Community Grant Initiative. This grant will support the club's mission to enhance community engagement and promote the sport of badminton at a grassroots level. 

AIA's Community Grant initiative is designed to support local organizations that make a significant impact in areas of physical and mental health, environment and equality in their communities. A total of 50 grassroot organisations were selected to receive a grant, with a total of $110,000 going into the community. By securing this grant, Surja Badminton Club has demonstrated its commitment to fostering community spirit and promoting physical activity through badminton.  

In the coming months, the Surja Badminton Club will work diligently to deliver on the values and purposes outlined in their grant proposal. Their initiatives aim to create more opportunities for community members to engage in badminton, promoting a healthier and more active lifestyle.
