“Badminton Victoria is an amazing organization, and we’ve always looked for partners who share our passion for and dedication to the sport especially at the grassroots level. We see this partnership as a perfect fit.”

Protech and Badminton Victoria recognize that while metropolitan-based, high-seeded athletes often have greater access to training and tournaments, there is a growing community of talented, enthusiastic players in country areas seeking support and resources.

“From what we can see in Australia, the regional players don’t have the same opportunity as the metro players,” Andrew explains. “But there is so much demand there for badminton as well. We want to be part of this process, contributing to the growth and development of badminton in regional Victoria, and ensuring everyone whether they are seeded or in a regional area can enjoy this sport.”

In line with Protech’s dedication to innovation and sustainability, the company is preparing to launch a new product in 2025 which is a hybrid shuttle that merges top-level performance with environmental consciousness.

“We’re coming up with a new type of shuttle which is a hybrid shuttle. We believe it will be a game-changer,” Andrew says. “We want to be environmentally conscious. Feather shuttles have traditionally been the choice for badminton players, but in these days and ages, we must innovate. Otherwise, the sport can’t sustain its growth in the future.”

Players and coaches can look forward to this upcoming release, which promises a balance of durability, flight consistency, and eco-friendly materials.
