Are you passionate about creating safe, inclusive spaces where women and girls can connect, build friendships, and have fun? Do you enjoy badminton and have a talent for bringing people together in a supportive and welcoming environment? If so, we’d love to hear from you!

About the Program:
The Feathered Friends Initiative is a unique community program designed specifically for women and girls. It offers a safe space for participants to come together, enjoy casual games of badminton, and build lasting friendships. The program focuses on social connection and cohesion—using badminton as a fun, engaging medium to bring women and girls from diverse backgrounds together.

Who We’re Looking For:
We are seeking a social badminton ‘coach’ to facilitate these sessions. This role is not about formal training but about creating a relaxed, enjoyable space where women and girls feel valued, included, and inspired to connect.

Key Qualities & Skills:

  • A passion for fostering social connections and creating a safe space for women and girls.
  • friendly, approachable demeanor with values of compassion, patience, and inclusivity.
  • An interest in badminton (formal coaching experience is not required).
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect and hold the group together.
  • The ability to encourage participation and create a fun, positive environment.
  • A supportive and uplifting attitude that makes every participant feel welcome.

What the Role Involves:

  • Facilitating casual badminton sessions that focus on fun, connection, and enjoyment for women and girls.
  • Creating a safe, inclusive, and welcoming atmosphere where participants can relax, have fun, and form friendships.
  • Acting as the ‘binding factor’—someone who encourages interaction, brings women and girls together, and helps build a sense of community.

What You Get:

  • This is a paid opportunity—you will be compensated for running the sessions.
  • The chance to make a real impact by supporting women and girls in building friendships and connections.
  • A relaxed, enjoyable role where you can share your love for badminton and community building.

If you are passionate about creating meaningful connections and believe you can help inspire and bring women and girls together through this program, we would love to hear from you!
